“I lead a global cancer survivor support group for people that are living and dealing with a rare disease. There are people who do die from their disease in this group. It is very somber. As a cancer survivor myself, I know all too well that attitude can play an incredibly powerful role in one’s cancer journey. It truly took me a year and a half to come to terms with the unknown - when will my cancer start progressing again, because I know one day it will? Will my medical team know how to treat it once it does? Am I going to die from it and when?
